ABOUT TPLC

Thomas Pinnacle Learning Center has Christ as its focus as we concentrate on developing the WHOLE child.

At Thomas Pinnacle Learning Center (TPLC) we understand that it is important to educate the whole child, therefore we center our lessons and activities around the "whole child." We start with developing the spirit man, followed by teaching the importance of family, health and wellness and academics

Each day we begin with devotion and Bible study. We believe that giving God the first part of our day allows Him to have full reign in the balance of our day. Students not only learn verses of scripture to hide in their heart, they learn how God loves them and how they can share His love with others.

Students are taught the value of family and the important role each of them holds in the family. Students are taught to share, give and be an active part of their families.

Healthy eating and excercise is modeled to students daily. Students are taught how to select healthy snacks. They are encouraged to excercise and eat healthy meal portions. They are also encouraged to ensure that their bodies have sufficient rest.

When a student understands their relationship with God, their value in the family and they are healthy and well rested, academics comes easier. The student will have fewer obstacles; hence they are able to be more successful in the classroom.

THE FOUNDERS:

Terrella Thomas has been an educator since 2000. She has served as a certified high school teacher, as well as a certified middle school teacher in North Carolina, Alabama and Georgia.

In 2003 she took the lead role in writing a successful curriculum for a new child care center to ensure that all children would receive an age-appropriate quality learning experience.

Mrs. Thomas is enthusiastic about helping students get excited about learning and helping students learn through play, fieldtrips (adventures) and activities. She understands that not all children learn in the same way nor at the same pace. She is adamant about allowing students to learn through exploration and discovery.

Terrella is married to the man of her prayers, Pastor Michael Thomas who serves as the Senior Pastor of Christ Pinnacle Church currently located in Lake City, GA. Visit the website at www.christpinnaclechurch.net. The Thomas' are the parents of Cedric-Justin (U.S. Marine) and Cerenity-Janae.
